Eighty years of an icon. Eighty years of
stories.
On April 23, 1946, Vespa was born-a dream
on two wheels that became a symbol of freedom, style,
and optimism. In Pontedera, a bold, accessible and
democratic idea took shape, designed to set a post-war
country back in motion and made for everyone.
Vespa went on to define light urban mobility and played
a role in advancing female independence. It quickly
became a cultural icon, finding its way
into film, music, art, photography, and fashion. Over
160 models tell a consistent story, shaped by
essential design and a perfect
balance between function and
aesthetics.
Today, we celebrate a living legacy that continues to
inspire cultures, trends, and people.
