Vespa 150 TAPAchieving Military Excellence
Adding a combat dimension to the brand, the Vespa 150 TAP showcased military capabilities. It had a 75mm gun and the capacity for additional ammunition, two cans of fuel, a small cart and was designed in military colours for camouflage. Even though it weighed 115kgs, the Vespa TAP could speed at 66 km/h with a range of 200 kms.

Vespa Crossed English Channel
Crossing the
English ChannelFrench motorcycle racing champion, Georges Monneret, dreamt of crossing the English Channel on a Vespa in 1952. He rode on a Vespa from Paris to Calais, where a crew helped him install custom pontoons to his ride. Monneret then crossed the English Channel with his waterborne Vespa, posing at the famed cliffs of Dover. He brought the Vespa on the beach here, before a reception committee.
